Milan Fashion Week Recap Beauty: The Italians know how to do sexy

Similar to New York, most were quite tame looks beautiful all the Fashion Week in Milan, with the emphasis on fresh skin, makeup minimal, and easy, simple hair. But do not think that these eyes were boring at all. Each time the models down the runway at shows like Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Roberto Cavalli, D & G, Missoni, Alberta Ferretti and I kept thinking, not only do they look beautiful, it is how I want to watch every day. Their skin shines, they have a beautiful color to their cheeks, their hair is like something from a shampoo commercial. Model Karlie Kloss time gave me his expert opinion on the thesis seems while I was talking with her behind the scenes of Cavalli. "In general, the looks (in Milan) is still sexy and you feel good because the hair and makeup are always referring to this classic, but sassy Italian woman. I do not know what it is, but the Italians just know how to make sexy. "So how do you pull the Italian sexiness without being Italian or jump on a plane across the Atlantic? After spending a week behind the scenes in Milan, I discovered a few key factors to all those looks.Hair soft. Eruptions at Versace and D & G were big and bouncy, while the French twists to Dolce & Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli looked romantic and a little disheveled. Creative Director for Redken, Guido Paulo, who created all these styles, kept to a minimum of products textures to create luxurious. At Versace, he used Redken Aerate 08 Bodifying Crème Mousse to get lots of volume while keeping their hair shiny and healthy looking, using the same product at Cavalli before rolling their hair in a French twist, then part slightly with a little Hairspray.
Skin fresh and perfect. When your skin is still and has a little glow to it, you automatically look healthy and sexy. At Missoni, makeup artist Lucia Pieroni wanted the models to look as if they had just finished dancing and a little sweat, dabbing an eye shadow pale gold shimmer (MAC Metal X eyeshadow in Gold Fusion) under their cheekbones and nose with his fingers. At Versace, makeup artist Pat McGrath applied a luminizer shimmery nude on the same areas to keep the look "ultra beautiful."Subtle shadow. At Missoni, a brown soft shadow in the crease and along the lower lash line. At Cavalli, McGrath used a similar shade to create a "light smoky eye just to add a little strength," while at Dolce, it simply lined the outer corner of the upper lashes with black and brown background with a pencil, leaving the rest of the eye .
